Tina, I have found that FitFlops are fantastic for the summer, so comfortable, and good for the feet too. They are a little expensive, but worth it, they are very soft for underfoot, I have that problem too. I also have crocs, they also provide a padded underside, it makes so much difference. Although I know there are lots of others you can try. Just thought I'd mention it, as I usually find it very painful getting off the bus as its quite a drop to the pavement and these provide a cushioned exit!! Good luck x BARBARA

I got some very cheap work shoes from a website called Natureform. I must confess, they are not v attractive but my insoles fit in and they are really cushioned. Hate to mention it but my RA started in my feet like that.

Tina
I find that Skecher make some good comfy shoes , from trainers to slip on shoes. I don't know if you have a shop near you that sells them. I go to their main shop on Oxford St as I live quite near london. The shoe chains Schuh and Barratts sell them in their bigger branches. Also- I have a pair of Kangaroos which are fantastic- supportive and comfortable- quite springy They are quite smart almost like a court shoe with a strap across which has velcro to fasten it.

I got a pair of REALLY comfy shoes from Wynsors-only £15 - I've been told by the podiatrist that the thicker sole you can get the better. She told me I had lost all the fat pads from the bottom of my feet and I'm now literally walking on bone.(These have a really thick sole and it's like walking round in my bed they're so comfy!) YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.
